Green Arc Tire Might Finally Get Going

Green Arc Tire Manufacturing Incorporated might be close to finally starting production in a few months. It will be almost two years since the Company announced plans to manufacture remoulded winter tires. What was holding back the Company appears to be the Ontario government.

Green Arc Tire Receives Final Approval To Operate In St. Marys

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (you read that last part right) roadblocked Green Arc for nearly two years while the Company complied with government environmental red tape. The Ontario government, that is all about "job creation", has helped to keep upwards of 300 people from working over the past 17 months.

It could be that Green Arc now has the problem of finding new applicants to replace the applicants who gave up on waiting for Green Arc to employ them and have since moved on. How many people can wait almost two years for a job?

Other questions are: Will consumers buy Green Arc tires? Will Green Arc be able to survive the skyrocketing Hydro costs the Ontario government is responsible for? Will the Ontario government subsidize Green Arc in the future with dump trucks full of tax money? Will the Ontario government soon force all drivers in Ontario to have snowtires?

One can only wait and see.
