Crime Stoppers Video And Dense Internet Writers
There is a 'viral' Crime Stoppers video making the rounds that you likely have already seen regarding a burglary at Stelly's Supermarket. If not, it is here. Already there are some people saying it is a "Coca-Cola ad" because the officer in the video says, "...I'm gonna have a cheeseburger here with fries and a Coke..." at about the same time a Coca-Cola van drives into the shot.
This supermarket robbery was 'brought to you by Coca-Cola'
Is this police video about a local robbery actually a viral ad for Coke?
Too Good To Be True Small Town Crimestoppers Video Sparks "Is this a viral Coke Ad" Theories
The claim that is a "Coca-Cola ad" is based soley on a Coca-Cola van driving in and parking behind the officer. Let's ignore that this "Coca-Cola ad" theory is unfounded and asinine for a moment.
Meet the ‘Cajun John Wayne,’ the deputy whose meme-worthy videos terrify criminals
Yes, he does say "Coke" in the video, naming one of the world's most popular soft drinks. A soft drink common to order with a burger and fries. Yes, the Coca-Cola van does arrive somewhat on time to his mentioning the Coke brand.
What also can be seen in the video is a Coca-Cola vending machine at the front of the store. The Coca-Cola van could be there to service the vending machine! Maybe the Coca-Cola van is delivering to the store!
There is also Budweiser truck and trailer parked in the background. If Lt. Higgins said "beer" insted of "Coke" would that make the video a "Budweiser ad"?
Lt. Higgins does patronize Stelly's, in business since 1920, and has a particular regard for Stelly's. Why isn't the video a "Stelly's Supermarket ad"?
Maybe next time instead of typing out a stupid theory these dense "Coca-Cola ad" writters could try typing a few words into an Internet search engine, or better yet, just try to think a little first. Sometimes, I don't think the Internet today would exist without its stupid.
